| CHARACTER CREATION. This guide is to assist you with your Character Creation with the template that can be found HERE. This template is created to assist, but may contain points that must be addressed therefore would be valuable to read.
At the top of your template, although it should be self explanatory requires an image. Although it was usually considered optional, we now require every member to display a character image. Be sure to centre the image and make sure it is not too big, locate a resizing code if this is the problem, be sure identify the character image you are claiming, be sure to check the Face Claims thread before attempting to use an image.THE INFO. Name: When it comes to picking a name, we appreciate people being as creative as possible, steering away from the generic names like Kuro, which means Dark. We want all names to be Japanese related, though certain exceptions may be made, avoid common names like James, Peter, Stephanie, Sarah etc. Your name should sit with your surname at the front followed by your first name. For example; Uchiha, Sasuke. Do not forget that comma. Nickname: For a lower-ranked Ninja, this may be something your close friends call you. For Higher Ranked Shinobi or Nukenin this is more of a title, therefore it is permitted if you change the template field of Nickname to Title. It is common that this field is left blank for lower rankers and is considered optional. Age: Your age should reflect your ranking and background, we hope we don't see any thirteen year old Jounin or any thirty year old Genin. Below is an average age expectancy for each rank. Genin: 11-17 Chuunin: 16-24 Jounin: 25+ Kage: 30+ Gender: Male or Female, need I say more? Appearance: The appearance is a very important part of the application and it is important as you are as descriptive as possible. This should be easy to start, since you have provided an image up the top, this should be what your character looks like, but not every detail has to be the same, eye colour can be altered to your liking likewise with uniform. Describe your characters physical appearance which includes such thing as weight, height, muscular definition, facial features, any distinct markings, eye and hair colours, skin completion, etc. Move onto your attires, surely you would have the basic ninja attire for your village or organization unless you were a Nukenin, if this is the case, elaborate on the basics but add a unique little tweak to your official uniform. Where is your forehead protector located, this is important since everybody should have a forehead protector, even Nukenin. Do you where it as a headband, the traditional way, around an arm, like a belt or merging with your attire, around your neck? The possibilities are endless. What kind of other attires do you wear, surely you are not always dressed in ninja wear, what do you where at home, during a day off? Any accessories? Personality: Try to be original here, not everybody is going to be emotionless, especially at a young age. It would take experience in the Ninja World or a very cruel past to have no emotion whatsoever, we understand people may appear emotionless but we still want you to describe how situations effect your character, even if it isn't physically shown. Include things like what your character likes and dislikes, what their hobbies are, what they enjoy doing and what they don't. What foods they like? How do they think and act in battle? This should be easy for most of you, we just ask for you to be creative. Clan: Just a link to your approved clan, whether its canon or custom; please provide it. Nindō: Also known as a Ninja Way, Nndō is a rule and/or motto an particular shinobi will live by. A ninja's nindō can be anything no matter how immoral their personal point of view is. Naruto's Nindō was "I'm not gonna run away. I never go back on my word, that is my Nindō! My ninja way!" The main point of this would be that he will never go back on his word. Your characters Nindō will be how he or she lives their life and should reflect on their personality. Think very carefully about your Ninja Way and consider your affiliations, if your associated with a village, it would not be wise to have your Ninja Way to exact revenge on that nation. THE NINJA. Origin: Where was your ninja born? Although we expect that most village ninja should be born in their current affiliated nation, we understand that this will not always be the case, just ensure where your originate from is one of the nations we offer here on Ultimate Shinobi. Affiliation: For a regular shinobi, this is a simple field, it is what village you currently reside in. For an organization this would be your organization and Nukenin wouldn't have any strong affiliation with any nation or group. Rank: What rank is your shinobi, there is only four options here on Ultimate Shinobi, which are C, B, A and S. C-rank is Genin, B-rank Chuunin, A-rank Jounin, S-rank Exp.Jounin and Kages. Everybody should be Genin unless stated otherwise. Specialties: First; Second. Everybody is permitted two specialties. Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, Medical or Puppetry. For a detailed look at specialties click HERE.Elemental Affinities: First; Second. Some people may have thirds but only if it is a part of their advanced element in a clan, in which case it should be a combination of the two elements. The main elements are Katon/Fire, Suiton/Water, Fuuton/Wind, Doton/Earth and Raiton/Lightning. For a detailed look at elements click HERE.Combat Style: How does your character like to fight? Hit and run tactics, a fearless tank on the battlefield or do you lurk in the shadows kill silently. There are many different tactics and here is where you can write a brief description of the combat style in which encapsulates your character. This is some regards can be seen as your 'Combat Nindō'. Include such things as the range in which your character likes to fight, any martial or other styles they have learn't, and your 'trump card' or otherwise known as 'Signature Jutsu'. Special Characteristics: These are characteristics or 'traits' that change the way your shinobi is, these can include such things as Advanced Speed or Strength, to Sensory Abilities. This field should actually be left blank to begin with no matter what your ranking, as traits should be earned through roleplay. Be sure to check out a list of the sites Special Characteristics HERE. THE BACKGROUND. History: This section is for the history of your character up to where your roleplaying journey begins, if you were a Jounin you wouldn't just start as Jounin and that was it, there would have to be a back story. Everybody needs a detailed history, though we expect more from High Ranked Shinobi. They should be put in arcs usually set up like this Pre-Genin Arc; which would consist of your birth, childhood and academy years. Then progressing through the arcs up to what ranking you are, whether that would be a Genin Arc, Chuunin Arc, Jounin Arc, Nukenin Arc, Kage Arc etc. Unless you are 11-14 year old Genin and have only just graduated from the academy; thus being considered a rookie you should have a Genin Arc detailing your adventures up until your current point. Simple, include a nice back story, it will help with the development of your in character story. Do not state any abilities in here that are not in any other sections or they will be disregarded and asked to be edited out. Roleplay Sample: Your roleplaying sample is an out of character piece of information that ultimately has nothing to do with your character itself. What this field requires is an average sample of how you roleplay on the Forum, do not exceed your average by much because you will be expected to roleplay around this average for your time here on Ultimate Shinobi. A Roleplayer who submits a roleplay sample of approximately 500 words would be expected to roleplay at a 450-600 average per post, but we expect everybody to do the best they can all the time. Ranks above Genin require higher quality and quantity roleplaying samples, but submitting these will not secure you a position, as stated above in the ranking field, all members should begin as Genin or C-rank Nukenin unless directed otherwise. | JUTSU CREATION. Please note that this is merely a guide to how to fill out your character template, for a detailed look on features of Jutsu, such as Ranks, Elements, Ranges or Types, be sure to check out our Chakra Guide. Name: Please provide both the Japanese Name and the English variant, be creative with your customized jutsu names. A proper translator can be found here. Rank: D, C, B, A or S. If it varies in rank you need to specify what differences occur per ranking in your description. Type: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Medical, Fuuinjutsu, Puppetry, Weaponry. Range: Close Range, Mid Range or Long Range? This will also requires measurements. Element: Usually would be one of the main five: Katon, Suiton, Fuuton, Doton, Raiton. If it is an advanced element specify, if it has no element just write N/A. Description: Provide a detailed description on your technique. How it is performed, what damage it does if it hits, how big it is and any other important details. Don't leave anything out, or it would be considered a void in battle. Chakra Cost: Leave this to the moderator or administrator who looks at your application. COLLABORATION JUTSU CREATION. Collaboration Name: Please provide both the Japanese Name and the English variant, be creative with your customized jutsu names. The Name MUST be agreed by all creator(s). Primary Jutsu: This will be the initial jutsu that starts the collaboration, once used the secondary jutsu may then follow however they don't HAVE to be used. It's still down to each individual. Because of the current post system in place the initial primary jutsu that's noted in the collaboration jutsu template MUST always be used first in order for the collaboration to be activated. Secondary Jutsu: Secondary jutsu are any jutsu that follow immediately after the primary jutsu. For example: Sage Naruto/Jiraya would use their Primary jutsu and the elder toads would use a jutsu either at the same time or immediately after. Normaly to increase range, power or effect of the primary jutsu. Katon + Fuuton. Rank(s): Every individual jutsu must have it's rank listed here so that it's overall power can still be compared when opponents are only attempting to oppose one jutsu instead of the whole collaboration. Type(s): Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Medical, Fuuinjutsu, Kenjutsu. (Genjutsu & Puppetry cannot be combined with any other types of jutsu at this moment in time.) Please list all types included in the Collaboration. Range: Close Range, Mid Range or Long Range? This will also requires measurements. This is the overall range/area of the entire collaboration. Element(s): Katon (Fire), Suiton (Water), Fuuton (Wind), Doton (Earth), Raiton (Lightning). No advanced elements can be created by performing Collaboration jutsu, meaning you cannot use Wind and Water to create an Ice related technique. If it has no element just write N/A. Please ensure that all elements used are noted down. Failure to do so will result in the jutsu effects becoming void. Description: Provide a detailed description on your technique. How it is performed, what damage it does if it hits, how big it is and any other important details. Don't leave anything out, or it would be considered a void in battle. This description MUST be exactly the same on all creator(s)/user(s) profiles and cover every aspect of each of the individual jutsu aswel as what happens during the collaboration and it's end effect. Chakra Cost: Leave this to the moderator or administrator who looks at your application. This cost is per person when performing a collaberation. Creators/Users: All Creators and Users of this jutsu MUST be noted here or they will not be permitted to perform this jutsu. This jutsu can then be peformed by any/all users and creators during combat. Created by Adam, Brad © Additional Contributers: N/A Property of Ultimate Shinobi. © All Rights Reserved. ©

| CLAN CREATION. Clan Name: Try your best to relate your clan name to the clan itself, for example the Yuki clan is a clan named after its ability, which is Ice Release. Try to be unique as you can, don't pick anything too long or inappropriate. Location: Where is the clan located, most clans have a larger member base in one location though it isn't uncommon to have them in various places. If your clan is scattered around state where they originated from. Signature Traits: Signature Clan Traits can be interpreted as many different things. They can be things like physical features like the Aburame's sunglasses or the Uchiha's black hair, to a personality trait like the intelligence of the Nara's or the eating habits of an Akimichi. Certain clans like the Nara and Aburame do not actually possess Kekkei Genkai and instead possess Hidden Jutsu exclusive to their clan, these should be explained here. Kekkei Genkai: A Kekkei Genkai is best described as a genetically inherited ability limited to those of who were born with the blood of that clan in their veins. Every Kekkei Genkai should be named, every Kekkei Genkai and their related techniques cannot be taught to or copied by others. However, certain Kekkei Genkai can be given to others. Dōjutsu, or other kekkei genkai isolated to a single organ. Use of these organs requires much more chakra than someone born with the Kekkei Genkai. This idea is usually referring to the removal of Doujutsu, such as a Sharingan or Byakugan. Advanced Elements are also considered as Kekkei Genkai and are also techniques that cannot be learned. History: This category should be decently detailed, since it should contain the complete contents of your clans backstory, where they originated, any historical events they were evolved in, what they did while times changed, etc. Clan Jutsu: Refer to Jutsu Template. | WEAPONRY AND ITEM CREATION. Name: What is your weapons/items name, some people name their weapon specifically, the Samehada is a fine example of this, however you aren't required to do this but we do require something to be put here, if its a sword name what kind of sword it is for example. Rank: D, C, B, A, S? Your weapons/items shouldn't really be E-ranked since the only weapons really considered E-rank would be things like regular kunai or shuriken. Type: Regarding weapons: Sword, Axe, Polearm, Blunt, Ranged or Exotic? Regarding items: Supplementary, Personal or Medical. To figure out how to grade your weapons or items type look at our System on Weaponry and Equipment.Appearance: Describe the weapon or item throughly, if it is a weapon; describe its size and length what kind of material it is made out of, what the handle it like, it's color. Anything special looking? Anything engraved onto it? This area should be simple enough. Quantity: Simple, how many of these weapons/items do you possess. With most unique weapons that do a lot of damage we don't expect more than one, but some things may have a larger quantity, arrows are a fine example since you'd expect to carry a dozen or so on you. Wrist Blades are another example since you would most likely possess two. When it comes to items it will usually depend on what the item is before naming it, if it was a kind medicine you could possess a few vials. Storage: Where do you store your item? Is it via a scroll? In a holster on your back or on your hip? Sealed via a tattoo. We would prefer most items to be actually carried with the user into of in a scroll because scroll sealing is a kind of cheap way to carry an item like a sword, polearm etc. Special Abilities: The most important field on your weapon and item applications, what kind of abilities does it have? Can it conduct chakra? What makes it so special? Is your item capable of healing? Any interested contraptions attached to your weapon that makes it unique or anything unique about the weapon itself should be listed here. | PUPPETRY CREATION. Name: The name of the puppet. This usually reflects the appearance of the puppet or what it's main purpose is but it's ultimately up to the creator's preferences. Rank: D, C, B, A or S. D and C Rank puppets usually only have basic melee or projectile weapons while S Rank puppets often possess powerful elemental launchers or chakra based weaponry with B and A Ranks falling somewhere in between. Appearance: The puppet's physical appearance. Remember to include what kind of material it is constructed from, how large it is and any distinguishing features it may possess. Body Slots: What weapons or equipment is the puppet fitted with? Refer to the Kugutsu Rules for how the system works. Slot 1:Slot 2:Slot 3:Slot 4:Slot 5:Slot 6:Slot 7:Slot 8:Slot 9:Slot 10:PUPPET WEAPONRY CREATION. Name: What is the weapon called? This should be somewhat related to the nature of the weapon. Rank: What rank is the weapon? - E Rank weapons are standard issue shinobi weapons. - D Rank weapons are basic metal weapons that may possess some kind of small physical modification or customization. - C Rank weapons are weapons that are exceptionally sharp and durable as well as having a distinctive shape. - B Rank weapons are somewhat chakra conductive and may have up to C Rank, weapon based jutsus channelled through them as well as possessing the characteristics of all lower ranks. - A Rank weapons are completely chakra conductive and may have elemental effects as well as possessing the characteristics of all lower ranks. - S Rank weapons can be just about anything within reason. Slots Required: The number of slots on the puppet that the weapon requires. Refer to the Kugutsu Guide for details on how this works. Type: Swords, Axes, Polearms, Blunt, Ranged or Exotic? Look at our Weaponry System for an in depth look. | SUMMON CREATION.
Summons are creatures contracted to a certain person, village or clan that serve the purpose of assistance in battle. The skills of a Summon can be seized in a number of scenarios but they usually are not called upon unless required. A summon and its summoner might not always have the most outstanding relationship, a summon will usually try to kill its summoner before contracting itself with them as a testament to the summoners strength, if you choose to have a summon here on Ultimate Shinobi, choose wisely. Name: Simple, pick a name. Relate it to something to do with your character if you can. Rank: Summons shouldn't really be E, D rank so we are assuming your summons would be ranked either C, B, A or S. Think about your summon entirely before ranking it, it is an important part of the application. Appearance: Describe your summons features and physical appearance, things like their colour, any distinguishing markings, perhaps where their forehead protector is located if they are the type of summon that is loyal to its summoners village too. One of the most important things about a summons appearance is its size, please be as specific as possible. Maximum summon sizes are as followed: C Rank - 10ft B Rank - 50ft A Rank - 100ft S Rank - 200ft Personality: Another important field, be descriptive. How does your summon act in certain situations, how does it act around other people as opposed to you. How is your relationship with your summon, elaborate on personality traits of your summon, is it snobbish, is it lazy or is his energetic. Go into detail on what sort of things it eats and what it likes and dislikes. Contract Type: There are a few different types of contracts, one of the main ones will most likely be what we would like to call a Formal Contract. Formal Contracts are contracts with a certain species that you can summon when needed, for example Naruto had a contract with the Toads. Another type of contract would be a Personal Summon, which isn't much of a contract at all, the Baku was a personal summon of Danzo late in the manga, this is probably the easiest example. Finally a Clan Contract, which is exactly would you would assume, a contract based around a clan, so essentially the Aburame have a contract with the Kikai, but that is a different sort of contract. Practically its a species exclusive to that clan. Species: Pretty simple, if its a Toad, Snake, Bird, Monkey, Lion etc. Be absolutely species specific if possible. Currently all types of summons permitted must be animals and species of todays world as opposed to mythological creatures like Dragons but also things like Dinosaurs. Speciality: In regards to summons there is a limitation on what specialties they are permitted at certain ranking and how many they are permitted. The specialties limitations are as followed: C Rank - One Specialty. [Tai, Nin Weapon] B Rank - One Specialty. [Tai, Nin Weapon] A Rank - Two Specialties. [Tai, Nin Weapon, Gen] S Rank - Two Specialties. [Any, excluding Puppetry] Elemental Affinity: Usually would be one of the main five: Katon, Suiton, Fuuton, Doton, Raiton. If it is an advanced element specify, if it has no element just write N/A. If your summon has an elemental affinity than it must be the same as one of the character's and they can only possess a single element So if your characters elements are Lightning and Wind, your summon can only use either Lightning or Wind. Summons cannot possess advanced elements. Summons Jutsu: Refer to the Jutsu Section for the Template, please note though; like characters, summons also have a limit to how many jutsu they can start with. Further jutsu can be trained once approved but to begin the jutsu limits are as followed. You may think these seem like small amounts but do note you most likely have more than one in the contract and once again I repeat, these are only starting jutsu. C-rank Summon - 6 Jutsu B-rank Summon - 9 Jutsu A-rank Summon - 12 Jutsu S-rank Summon - 15 Jutsu PET CREATION.
Pets are more or less companions as opposed to a partner in battle like a summon, a pet is usually there for emotional purposes, considered an attachment and in some cases like with a Dog or a Cat is considered as much a part of the family as another human. Pets don't really have any outstanding fighting abilities, their main objective is to keep your character company. Name: Try to be creative with the names, like everything else. Regarding your pets it might be nice if you had it referring to a personality trait they have or something like that. Nickname: It is not uncommon for people to give their dogs nicknames, for example if you had a spotty dog you might occasionally call him Spot, though it might not be what you named him. Age: When considering the age of your pet, consider their size, if you want a full grown pet, age it correctly, if you want a puppy; once again. Age it correctly. Species: Pretty simple, if its a Dog, Cat, Bird etc. Be absolutely species specific if possible. Appearance: What does your pet look like, what kind of feathers, scales, fur does it have. What colour is it, explain its size. Personality: Most likely the most important part to the pets application is its personality, it defines what the pet is, much like anything else. How does it act in certain situations, how does it act around other people as opposed to you. How is your relationship with your pet, elaborate on personality traits of your pet, is it snobbish, is it lazy or is his energetic. Go into detail on what sort of things it eats and what it likes and dislikes. Created by Adam © Additional Contributers: N/A Property of Ultimate Shinobi. © All Rights Reserved. ©
